What is Play and Talk’s Return Policy?

Refund Policy 
We're glad to offer refunds to the original payment method within 5 days of receipt, provided the receipt is included, along with a 15% restocking fee. Standard return exclusions apply. We reserve the right to inspect and repair the item before offering an exchange or store credit. To receive the full amount in store credit, the item must be in the same condition as when purchased and returned within the 7-day exchange period.

The warranty periods are as follows: 7 days for used video games and non-consumable merchandise, 30 days for used video game accessories, and 90 days for used consoles. Warranty details for repairs can be found on the repair paperwork.

New items will be exchanged at the pre-played price for non-defective returns within 7 days. Returns for defective new first-party items must go through the manufacturer. To successfully exchange the purchased items, the customer must present the original receipt. All items on sale, food, and clothing are not eligible for returns or exchanges. We reserve the right to amend these terms for any reason at any time.

The city of Foley charges a 1% user fee. We will gladly offer to exchange or provide store credit for defective items; however, we do not offer cash or card refunds. We reserve the right to inspect and repair items before offering an exchange or providing store credit. To receive the full amount of store credit, the item must be in the same condition as when purchased and returned within the 7-day exchange period.

Returns for defective new first-party items must go through the manufacturer. To successfully exchange the items purchased, the customer must present the original receipt. Any new second or third-party accessories purchased must be unopened and sealed to qualify for an exchange or store credit. Non-refundable products include single and sealed card products (once they leave the store), headsets (if opened), food, clothing, and all sale products. All sales are final! We reserve the right to amend these terms for any reason at any time.

Can I get my money back?

Most repairs are done in 3 to 5 business days but can take longer depending on how busy we are.

For trade-ins, it's best to bring your items in for us to see. We always beat our competitors and enjoy negotiating. We want our customers happy!

What percentage does Play and Talk pay in cash or store credit?

There is no set percentage; it all depends on the item you are trading in. Some items sell faster than others.

Do you guys do layaway?

Sorry, not right now.

How long will my device repair take?

It all depends on your device and what needs to be fixed. Here are some general estimates we share with customers in advance: 3-5 business days for our Express Repair option, 7-10 business days for our Standard Repair option, and 2-3 weeks for Send Off Repairs that can only be done by other trustworthy repair techs that we are partnered with!

Phone Screen Repairs 
Our Expert Play and Talk Repair techs can knock out a typical phone screen repair in about 30-45 minutes per device. We usually keep most iPhone screens in stock, but we may need to special order certain Samsung device screens. If we need to order a replacement part for your phone, you have the option of leaving your phone with us and paying full price at pick-up once repaired, or you may pay the cost half-down to order the part and keep your phone with you, and return with the device once the part arrives for repair. Typically phone parts arrive within 3-5 business days of ordering. For the most accurate estimates, we recommend bringing in your device. Depending on what the issue is, some devices may require more time to fix than others.

All Other Phone Repairs 
Of course, we fix more than just screens! However, depending on the issues time(s) may vary. Every repair is unique, and some could take a few hours while others could take days. The good news is when you drop off your device, our expert technicians will always provide you an honest, transparent quote and an estimate of when your phone will be ready, and update You if for any reason, the phone repair will take more time. Our goal is to make sure our Customers have the best experience possible and get their phone back good as new as soon as we can! 

In-House iPad Repairs 
When repairing your iPad, you can either drop it off in person or send it in by mail. When you drop off in person, We don’t keep ipad parts stocked and will have to order a part for the repair. This means we'll have to wait 3-5 business days to receive the new part to repair your iPad, and your iPad will be repaired the day the part comes in. If you choose the send-off option, please see below for more details. 

In-House Console Repairs 
All console repairs take a 7-10 business days. This gives our expertly-trained techs enough time to properly run diagnostics, disassemble the console, make the necessary repairs, and carefully and accurately complete the reassembly process. The only time it will take more than a week is if we have several console repairs scheduled. As always, when you schedule an appointment or drop off, we'll provide you an accurate time estimate for your console repair. We want to make sure we spend the exact time needed to deliver you a restored console. 

Send Off Repairs For Phones, Tablets And Consoles 
We do offer send-off repairs for phones, consoles & Tablets. This means you send your device to one of our trusted off-site Repair Techs that help with our device repairs. These are companies that we trust and share the same values for delivering quality, professional device repairs. When we are too busy, our partners step in and help us provide the same high-quality repairs our customers appreciate and love. If you choose the send-off option, you can expect to pay a little less, but the repair time will take a bit longer. Repair times can also greatly fluctuate during the Holiday Season. Typically, if you choose to "send-off', you can plan to have your device back in about 2-3 business weeks.
